Terms of use
These are the rules of using Tammy. We’ve written them the way we’d want them written — clear, no jargon, no surprises.
01
Tammy is a coaching app for women navigating real, often complicated things — work, health, relationships, family, money, personal growth. She listens, asks questions, holds you to your own intentions, and helps you find your next step.
By using the app, you’re agreeing to these terms. If you don’t agree with any of them, the right move is to stop using the app.
02
Tammy is a coach, not a clinician. She is not a doctor, therapist, dietitian, financial advisor, or lawyer. Nothing she says is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
If something in your life needs a professional — a GP, a psychologist, a financial adviser, a lawyer — Tammy will say so, and you should listen. Coaching can keep working alongside them, but it doesn’t replace them.
If you are in crisis, call your local emergency number. The “Where to find help” page in the app lists crisis lines for your country.
03
The depth of the coaching matches the depth of what you share. You’re in charge of what goes into the app — your goals, your journal, the context you give Tammy. You can leave anything out you don’t want to share.
Tammy will ask, push back, and reflect — sometimes uncomfortably so. That’s the work. She won’t shame you. She won’t judge you. If she misreads something, push back. She’ll listen.
04
Tammy is in beta. Features will be added, removed, or rebuilt based on what testers tell us. We’ll keep your data working across changes where we can, but occasionally a structural change might require you to redo something. We’ll tell you when.
Service availability isn’t guaranteed. The app needs an internet connection to talk to Tammy, and the AI service she runs on may have outages.
05
Most of what you do in the app stays on your phone. What gets sent to our AI partner (Anthropic, the makers of Claude) is described in detail on the Privacy & data page in the app.
You can export your data or delete everything at any time from the Privacy & data page. Deletion is permanent.
06
Don’t use the app to harm yourself or anyone else. Don’t try to extract another person’s private information from it. Don’t attempt to misuse the AI for things outside the coaching relationship (illegal, harmful, or otherwise out of scope).
We may suspend access if the service is being misused.
07
We take care to make Tammy useful and safe, but the app is provided “as is” during beta. We’re not responsible for decisions you make based on a coaching conversation. The coaching is yours — and what you do with it is yours too.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected to the app is limited to what you’ve paid us for the app. (Free during beta means: zero.) Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have under consumer-protection law in your country.
08
If we make a substantive change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and surface a notice in the app. Continuing to use Tammy after a change counts as accepting the new terms.
09
Questions, feedback, or a piece of the app that didn’t work the way you needed it to — hello@tammycoaching.com.
10
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. If you’re using Tammy from another country, your local consumer-protection rights still apply.
